Service Highlight: Flight School

It’s hard to pick a favorite service when we have so much fun with all of the different things that we get to do and offer at Independent Helicopters. That said, there is something really unique and special about our flight school program. Getting to share our passion and teach others about what we love so much is one of the most rewarding things, and sharing that experience is simply incredible.

Our flight school is a very comprehensive training program that dives into the nuts and bolts of helicopter aviation, from safety to basic flight skills and even emergency maneuvers in our Fresca Flight Simulator (how cool!). So if you’re on the market for something really incredible to do with your time, or have just always wanted to learn more about aviation, our Flight School is a great way to get your feet off the ground.

Easter Egg Drop!

What’s more fun than an Easter Egg hunt? An Easter Egg hunt where the eggs are literally falling out of the sky! This past weekend we had a blast flying over Schenectady and dropping 3,000 eggs to a local hunt. It was so fun to see how excited the kids were and even more fun to see our pic featured in the Daily Gazette the next day. Everyone keep an eye out for more details on our Helicopter Paintball which is coming up on April 9th!

HeliExpo 2016 Recap

Time is flying, isn’t it? It feels like just yesterday we were down in Louisville, KY for this year’s Heli Expo. This is always a highlight of our year because it’s a great way for us to connect with other helicopter companies big and small and see what is trending in the industry. It was a great time and so fun seeing some new and old faces (we even spotted Sergei Sikorsky!). One of the coolest thing was being able to explore Churchill Downs and get some great night views of the racetrack. This is a beautiful venue and being down there got us so excited for warm weather and horse racing season!

Other fun highlights included Heather getting a chance to fly the little grey beauty in this last picture (an MD530F, so awesome), and getting to check out Robinson’s new R44 cadet for the first time. Overall, it was an awesome trip and we are already gearing up for next year.
